This is a wonderful location, midway between Florence and Rome and in the vicinity of the historic towns of Tuscany and Umbria, including Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Perugia, Siena and Cortona. One can see medieval and Etruscan art and ruins, and, in Umbertide, a 12 minute drive from the house, is an Olympic size swimming pool, modern indoor and outdoor tennis courts, as well as all shops and supermarkets.

The owners, an American couple who spend part of the year in Umbria, have carefully restored the house, leaving 300 year old hand painted doors and original stone walls. It is comfortably furnished (with an American sensibility) using both traditional and contemporary pieces. The kitchen is equipped with a large assortment of both cooking ware and tableware. All linens are supplied, including down comforters. The house has cental heating and a telephone.
